The Rocket Science Group is a team of nerds based in Atlanta, Georgia [map] that specializes in web-based tools and applications. We started our company back in April 2000 to help people simplify "complicated stuff." We built intranets, websites, microsites, content management solutions, and web apps (before they were called "web apps") for clients like The Arthritis Foundation, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Cox Radio Interactive, Delta Airlines, Skanska, BBDO, and Worldspan.

In 2001, we launched MailChimp, a do-it-yourself online service that makes email marketing easy (and a little fun). It's packed with powerful email marketing features, kinda like those bloated email systems built for large corporations, but we made it easy (and a little fun) for anyone.

In 2006, we officially stopped providing web design services, and focused our efforts entirely on MailChimp. By the end of 2006, we found new vendors for all our wonderful RSG clients, and in 2007 MailChimp officially said "Hello World." Since then, we've grown to over 80,000 users from all over the world.
